Director of Educational Outreach & Executive and Professional Development

Terry Margolis has over 20 years of experience in leadership and organizational development and over 10 years experience as a management and executive coach. As Director of Executive and Professional Development, Ms. Margolis oversees the development, design, marketing, implementation and evaluation of customized leadership development programs, executive education, executive coaching and certificate programs for corporate clients. Additionally, in her role as Director of Educational Outreach, she oversees all off-campus degree and certificate programming for WSU’s extension centers.

Ms. Margolis also serves on the boards of a variety of non-profit, professional and civic organizations. In 2005, and again in 2009, she was elected to the Novi City Council for four-year terms and was twice been appointed as a member of the Oakland County Women’s Commission. Additionally, in 2008 she served as Chair of the Conference on Management and Executive Development Advisory Board.

Ms. Margolis received her M.B.A. with high distinction from the University of Michigan specializing in organizational behavior and information technology and her B.S. in organizational psychology from Wayne State University. Prior to joining Wayne State, Terry worked as a consultant for businesses and non-profit organizations specializing in leadership development, strategic planning, communication skills and customer service.
