Strategic Leadership: Assessing and Developing Leaders in the Workforce
This session, presented by Dr. Sandy Fiaschetti and Nicole Lentz, will provide tools to the HR professional to understand how to “be in front” of potential leadership derailment. Components of the program will involve exposure to a variety of leadership and personality assessment tools and discussion of ways to utilize these tools when hiring and developing organizational leaders. Attendees will also understand how the use of such assessments has the potential to level the playing field for a diverse workforce. As a result of the session, attendees will gain insight into when to engage outside help in personality assessment for selection and development. The knowledge of this domain should enable the HR professional to be a better strategic partner, with broader offerings, for their business units.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS
Dr. Sandy Fiaschetti
Co-founder of Magnet, Dr. Fiaschetti brings over 15 years of HR experience as a thought leader and internal and external consultant to many small, mid-, and Fortune 100 companies, across a variety of industries. Most recently, Sandy was VP of People Engagement at the start-up hybrid vehicle company, Bright Automotive. At Bright, she led the organization responsible for all people-related systems such as organizational culture and effectiveness, talent assessment and acquisition, talent management, executive coaching, and compensation. She is particularly passionate about the importance of integrating people initiatives into strategic business plans and about emphasizing innovation and creativity in the workplace.
Sandy earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan- Dearborn and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Wayne State University. She is a past president of Michigan Association of Industrial/Organizational Psychologists and a member of the American Psychological Association and The Society of Industrial Organizational Psychologists.
Co-founder of Magnet Consul1ng, Nicole has over 15 years of HR Consul1ng experience, with a unique blend of both client-facing coaching and development work and program and opera1ons management experience. Nicole enjoyed her years at both Aon Consul1ng and Development Dimensions Interna1onal and most recently as part of the start-up team at Bright Automo1ve. Nicole has worked with both small, entrepreneurial organiza1ons and large, tradi1onal organiza1ons across a variety of industries. A sample of her clients includes General Motors, Boeing and Walmart. While at DDI, Nicole provided accoun1ng and financial analysis for 3 mul1-million dollar business units in the US and Canada and lead office opera1ons for 2 US business units. Most recently, Nicole has been instrumental in the genesis of the Michigan office of Bright Automo1ve.
Nicole holds a Master of Science in Finance from Walsh College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Michigan Dearborn.
